Indian Metrological Department (I.M.D.) has issued a Yellow Alert for heavy rainfall in Uttarakhand.
Dense fog has returned to North India causing flight diversion and delays, train-delay among other disruptions. The weather agency issued the Yellow Alert in Uttarakhand for a period of 24 hours.
As per I.M.D.’s warning, heavy rainfall or snowfall may result in blocked roads and highways in the hills and disruption of electricity supply
Land-slides can also happen during this period, it said and asked the people to be cautious and remain safe.
