Today Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually flagged off Delhi-Dehradun Vande Bharat Express Train. This is the first Vande Bharat Train to operate in Uttarakhand.
In a tweet, Prime Minister Narendra announced, “Uttarakhand’s connectivity is all set to get a big boost. At 11 AM today, I will be flagging off the Vande Bharat Express between Delhi and Dehradun. Making the occasion even more special is the feat of 100 per cent electrification of Uttarakhand’s rail tracks.
Notably, this semi-high-speed train will begin its regularly scheduled commercial operations on the route on May 29, 2023.
