Latest news on the front of Higher Education in Uttarakhand is that Higher Education Minister of Uttarakhand, Dr Dhan Singh Rawat has said that by next year state government plans to see five lakh students coming to hill state for Higher Education.
For this, the investors will themselves have to sort required land, as per norms, for schools and private universities. Whereas, power, water and road will be provided by the state government. Apart from this, Uttarakhand Government will extend 25 per cent subsidy to the investors coming up with private universities and schools in Uttarakhand.
Furthermore, while addressing investors at Global Investors’ Meet in Uttarakhand’s capital, Dehradun, Dr Dhan Singh Rawat informed that Dev Bhoomi of Uttarakhand will soon witness 10 new private universities and three new medical colleges. He also promised all basic necessities, for bringing up schools and universities, by the state government.
Uttarakhand’s Cabinet Minister Dhan Singh Rawat suggested investors to invest in districts like Pithoragarh, Almora and Pauri. He also disclosed that Prime Minister and Chief Minister want to bring more and more investments in Devbhoomi Uttarakhand and for this, Dr Dhan Singh Rawat maintained, he is standing with investors round-the-clock, for any problem, if they face.
But, as bottom line, Uttarakhand’s Higher Education Minister Dr Dhan Singh Rawat stressed that no compromise will be made with the culture and traditions of Uttarakhand. Focusing this factor, Dr Dhan Singh Rawat, asked investors to be considerate about this factor and remain within limits while going ahead with their projects.
