Reportedly, in some temples of Uttarakhand a dress code has been introduced to enter some of the Hindu temples.
Devotees visiting the famous Dakshprajapati Temple at Haridwar and Neelkanth Temple at Hrishikesh would not be allowed entry if not properly clad.
In case if one is wearing a skirt or a pair of shorts, one may not be allowed to enter certain temples in Uttarakhand.
In a way, it seems, dress has to go with the spirit of holy place so as to maintain the required atmosphere at religious destinations.
