President of Uttarakhand Bhartiya Janta Party Mahendra Bhatt today said a panel of three names would be sent to the party’s Central Parliamentary Board for the candidate selection for Bageshwar Assembly’s by-election to be held on September 5, 2023.
The by-poll is being held on the Bageshwar Assembly seat as it fell vacant in April this year due to the death of sitting M.L.A. and former Uttarakhand’s minister Chandan Ramdas. He had won from Bageshwar for four consecutive terms on a B.J.P. ticket.
The process of filing nomination papers for the by-election started from today and will continue till August 17, 2023.
