The Kerala Story, a film on conversion that has polarised political discourse, has been given tax-free status in Bhartiya Janta Party-ruled Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
But, this step of state governments of both the states came under renewed attack from some Opposition leaders for allegedly fuelling hatred.
