Delhi Commission for Women (D.C.W.) Chairperson Swati Maliwal issued a summon to Delhi Police for failing to arrest the accused person in connection with the two F.I.R.s registered against him on April 28, 2023 pertaining to sexual harassment allegations, including violations under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (P.O.C.S.O.) Act.
Sharan Singh is accused of sexually harassing women wrestlers, including a minor. Wrestlers had gone to the Connaught Place Police Station on April 21, 2023 to file a complaint against him. However, the police did not register an F.I.R. back then. But, complaint of the women wrestlers is that now after registering F.I.R. at the direction of court, no arrest is being made vy Delhi Police.
