Institute of Technology and Management Dehradun continued its domination at Sports Event Safurti-2024 by winning their respective matches of Cricket and Badminton.
Semi-final Cricket Match of the tournament was today played between B.B.D. Lucknow and I.T.M. Dehradun, in which, I.T.M. Dehradun gave a target of 141 runs to B.B.D. Lucknow. But, the team of B.B.D. Lucknow couldn’t stand in front of the sharp bowling of I.T.M. Dehradun and got all-out at a total of 97 runs only.
Thus, I.T.M. Dehradun won the semi-final and entered the final of Cricket Event at Safurti-2024 played in the capital of Uttarakhand.
On the front of Badminton it was Shivang who brought victory to I.T.M. Dehradun against Quantum, Roorkee in quarter-final of Singles event. In the Doubles’ semi-final of Badminton, against U.P.S.C., again it was Anuj and Dhanvantri of I.T.M. Dehradun who took their college to final.
This victory-spree becomes possible for I.T.M. Dehradun through innovative vision of its Chairman Nishant Thapliyal and the encouragement, which I.T.M. Dehradun gives, to its students to excel in any field of their choice and make a mark.
As a result of this, a good chunk of more than 98 per cent of Placements, is achieved through Sports as well, under the able training of College Coach Md Shehzad and with strong support of college.
