Today Uttarakhand High Court directed the state government to submit a detailed report on the alleged irregularities in appointments made by Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission before September 21, 2022.
Direction was issued by Justice Sanjay Kumar Mishra while hearing a P.I.L. by Congress’ M.L.A. from Khatima Bhuvan Kapri seeking a C.B.I.-probe into the irregularities. Uttarakhand Government was asked to submit a report giving details of how the irregularities took place in the recruitment examination held by Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission and the appointments made by it.
Earlier, Uttarakhand High Court asked the petitioner to explain why he wanted the matter to be investigated by the C.B.I. when a probe by the Special Task Force of Uttarakhand Police is already under way.
