It is estimated that property worth lakhs of rupees has been destroyed after a massive fire broke out at a market in Uttarakhand’s Chamoli District, officials informed today.
On getting the information, fire tenders were pressed into service to douse the blaze before it could spread.
Matter of respite is that no loss of life has been reported. Reportedly, fire broke out in more than half a dozen shops on Nandprayag Highway heading towards Nandanagar, officials informed.
