FINAL DRAFT OF UNIFORM CIVIL CODE APPROVED BY UTTARAKHAND GOVERNMENT

DEHRADUN, Feb. 4, 2024 (TBINN)

The final draft of Uniform Civil Code has been approved by Uttarakhand Cabinet in Uttarakhand’s capital, paving the way for its tabling in the state Assembly whose Special four-day Session begins here from tomorrow.

Cabinet passed the U.C.C. Draft at a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami at his official residence today.

Final draft of the U.C.C. running into 740 pages in four volumes was submitted to Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami in Dehradun on Friday by a five-member panel headed by retired judge of Supreme Court Ranjana Prakash Desai.
