Yellow and Orange alerts for heavy rain alongwith thunderstorms and lightning have been issued in all districts of Uttarakhand for the next three days.
The I.M.D. has issued an Orange Alert of very heavy rain for the Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Bageshwar, Champawat and Nainital districts for today, July 26, 2023.
Dehradun Meteorological Centre said that heavy to very heavy rains may cause small to moderate land-slides, which may result in blocking of highways in hilly regions of both, Garhwal and Kumaon divisions if the hill state.
Weather Department advised people to travel with caution keeping in view the weather conditions. Meanwhile, schools from classes 1 to 12 and all Anganwadi centers in Bageshwar, Champawat, and Chamoli districts will remain closed today in view of the weather warning.
