High Court of Uttarakhand has ordered the state government to file an affidavit in a matter related to the disparity in
mining royalty between river mining and mining from land levelling for construction work.
Notably, a Public Interest Litigation alleged that the government suffered a huge loss after the amendment in Minor Minerals’ rules in 2021.
