After assessing the recent situation in Uttarakhand’s Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, after assessing recent weather situation of hill state, made an appeal to the pilgrims and tourists visiting Uttarakhand to come after a clear update on the weather.
Chief Minister Dhami said Weather Department of Uttarakhand has issued an alert for the next few days. We urge the devotees for Chaar Dham Yaatra to come after a clear update on the weather. We’re regularly monitoring the affected areas and providing relief to them. We are in contact with N.D.R.F., S.D.R.F., I.T.B.P. and the Army, and sending them according to the need.
Heavy rains have caused wide-spread damage in the hill state. The incessant rains have caused significant damage in many areas, including Rudraprayag, Pauri Garhwal and Nainital districts, where bridges and roads have been washed away.
Chief Minister further said that government is determined to ensure the safety of every citizen and the availability of all possible facilities for them.
