UNION GOVERNMENT APPROVES TRANSFER OF HIGH COURT TO HALDWANI

NEW DELHI, Mar. 25, 2023 (TBINN)

In principle, Union Government has given approval to the transfer of Uttarakhand High Court from Nainital to Haldwani, an official source said.

Union Law Minister Kiren Rijiju conveyed the development to Uttarakhand’s Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami through a letter, the source informed.

Rijiju, in his letter, said the state can proceed with the transfer of High Court after having set up fundamental infra-structure in the city located 40 K.M. away from Nainital.
