Grandfather of victims gets minor injury on leg
NEW TEHRI, Aug. 6, 2023 (TBINN)
Reportedly, two children died and their grandfather was injured after a wall of their house collapsed on them while they were asleep in the early today following heavy rainfall in a village, under Chamba Police Station of District New Tehri.
Confirming the report, Station House Officer H.L. Butola said the incident took place around 2:00 A.M. in Maroda Village of Dhanaulti Tehsil when a wall collapsed on Paveen Das’ kids Sneha, aged 12 and Ranveer, aged 10.
According to the authorities, police and administration teams reached the spot, pulled the children out of debris and rushed them to a nearby primary health centre, where doctors declared them brought dead.
Children’s grandfather Premdas, 60 years of age, suffered a minor leg injury in the incident, police added.
