Shahnawaz, alias Shafi Uzzama, an Engineer by profession and now suspected I.S.I.S. extremist, has been arrested by Special Cell of Delhi Police. According to the officials, his interrogation is going on.
Reportedly, a suspected Islamic State or I.S.I.S. terrorist, Shahnawaz alias Shafi Uzzama, who happened to be on the most wanted list of National Investigation Agency (N.I.A.), was arrested by Delhi Police during a major crackdown by the anti-terror agency. Besides, four to five people, connected to the module and detained in the matter, are also being interrogated, sources disclosed.
It is pertinent to mention here that Shahnawaz is a Mining Engineer and is believed to have come to the National Capital Region after fleeing Pune and had been living in N.C.R.
It was only last month that N.I.A. released pictures of four terror suspects, including that of Shahnawaz, wanted in the Pune I.S.I.S. (Islamic State of Iraq and Syria) module case and declared a reward money of Rs 3 lakh each for credible information on them leading to their arrest while identity of the informant, was to be kept confidential, agency promised.
Others arrested have been identified as Talha Liyakat Khan from Pune and Rizwan Abdul Haji Ali and Abdulla Faiyaz Shaikh alias Daiperwala, both from Delhi.
