Institute of Technology and Management, Dehradun, today proved its commitment towards promotion of valued Garhwali culture through a film Bathon Subero Gham – II which came in to being with all sorts of support from I.T.M. Dehradun.
Chairman of I.T.M. Dehradun, Nishant Thapliyal made arrangement for the students, faculty and staff of the institute to visit the P.V.R. and have a real feel of Garhwali film. It was an attempt by I.T.M. Dehradun not just to promote culture, but to make all understand the pain of life on hills, be it migration, livelihood, education or medical services etc.
I.T.M. Dehradun’s Principal Dr Anju Gairola and Dean Dr Ravi Bahuguna alongwith staff and students of I.T.M. Dehradun appreciated the film a lot and students acknowledged that they learnt very many things from the film Bathon Subero Gham – II.
At the end of the show the lead actress and director of the film Urmi Negi had a pleasant interaction with the group of I.T.M. Dehradun. It happened to be a rare opportunity for the students and representatives of I.T.M. Dehradun to share notes with the team of Bathon Subero Gham – II face-to-face. Noted Garhwali Cinema’s personality Urmi Negi also seriously listened to the reactions of the viewers from I.T.M. Dehradun so as to improve in future and know the demand if youth.
It is this spirit and pursuit of I.T.M. Dehradun to provide its students first hand knowledge of myriad disciplines that students of I.T.M. Dehradun always remain ahead in getting strong placements with dream packages in corporate and government sectors.
