As The Bharat India already showed the inclination towards India’s 1983 World Cup’s participant Roger Binny set to succeed Sourav Ganguly as the next president of Board of Control for Cricket in India, the news is coming true now.
Rajiv Shukla will continue to be the vice-president, sources informed The Bharat India. It is not entirely clear yet, Jay Shah, who was also heavily tipped to be the new president, is likely to continue as B.C.C.I.’s secretary.
All the finalized candidates, including Roger Binny, for the office-bearers’ posts will file their nominations today and tomorrow.
Election of B.C.C.I., which will now be a mere formality, will take place on October 18, 2022.
