NEW DELHI, Jul. 11, 2023 (TBINN) Yamuna River in Delhi swelled to the highest recorded level in 10 years today and is expected to rise further, officials informed.
According to the Central Water Commission’s (C.W C.) flood-monitoring portal, the water-level at the Old Railway Bridge rose from 205.4 metres at 5 P.M. on Monday to 206.76 metres at 8 P.M. today as Haryana discharged more water into the river from Hathnikund Barrage in Yamunanagar, Haryana.
It is expected that the river will rise to 207 metres in the early hours on Wednesday and will continue to rise further.
