It has been announced by A.I.I.M.S.-Hrishikesh today that all 41 workers, who were rescued from Silkyara Tunnel in Uttarakhand, have been deemed medically fit for discharge and can now safely return home.
During a media briefing, Dr Ravikant of A.I.I.M.S. Hrishikesh, conveyed that the health condition of rescued workers was discussed and mphasized that a comprehensive examination, including blood tests, X-Rays and E.C.G. reports, revealed normal results for all individuals.
They are physically normal and clinically stable. We have given them clearance to return home, Dr Ravikant informed.
Doctor noted that due to spending 17 days inside the tunnel, workers may require a period of acclimatization.
As a precautionary measure, they have been advised to undergo a check-up at the nearest hospital two weeks after their rescue, Dr Ravikant added.
