Rupees 25 Crore has been donated by Reliance Industries to Uttarakhand to help the Himalayan state recover from damages done by heavy rains.
Anant Ambani made the donation on behalf of the company to Mukhya Mantri Rahat Kosh or to Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.
Notably, rain-related disasters have claimed the lives of 111 people and affected 45,650 families in Uttarakhand this year.
We hope this initiative will further the state government’s effort to take up various development programmes for the people of Uttarakhand, Anant Ambani said in a letter to Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, who thanked him on behalf of the people of the hill state.
