DEHRADUN, Aug. 14, 2023 (TBINN)
India Meteorological Department (I.M.D.) has issued a Red Alert for six districts of Uttarakhand for very heavy to extremely heavy rainfall today.
Red Alert is for Dehradun, Nainital, Tehri, Champawat, Pauri and Udham Singh Nagar districts.
Currently Uttarakhand is witnessing heavy rains and very heavy with extremely heavy rainfall predicted in six districts for today.
Intense to very heavy spells of rain with thunder and lightning at isolated places have been forecast, officials said. Reportedly, state government has directed their district magistrates and State Disaster Response Force (S.D.R.F.) to remain alert for assisting people in case of any problem.
