A Deputy S.P. Rank Officer of Jammu and Kashmir Police has been, reportedly, arrested on various charges.
Police Officer Sheikh Aadil who belongs to the cadre of Kashmir Police Services, also faced house-search by a police-party near B.S.N.L. Exchange, Sanathnagar in Srinagar.
Sources allege that some documents and a laptop, besides other electronic devices were seized from his residence and the officer was questioned in a case. Sheikh Aadil has been formally arrested by Srinagar Police under F.I.R. Number 149 0f 2023 under section 167, 193, 201, 210, 218, 221 of Indian penal Code and 7, 7 A Corruption Act at Nowgan Police Station. Further investigation is said to be followed.
