In a surprising turn of events, Nikki Haley has officially withdrawn her presidential nomination.
The former U.S. governor of South Carolina, cited personal reasons for her decision, leaving political analysts and supporters taken aback. Speculation swirls as to the impact on the upcoming primaries and the broader political landscape.
The Indian-American politician Nikki Haley suspended her presidential campaign after being trounced in 15 states across the U.S. on Super Tuesday. She stopped endorsing her only rival and former president Donald Trump, who is all set to be the Republican Party’s presumptive nominee in the November elections.
After Super Tuesday’s election results, Trump had established a commanding lead in the delegate count over his only Republican opponent, Haley, who denied him a full sweep by winning Vermont.
