Bharatiya Janata Party leader Manoj Sonkar resigned as Chandigarh Mayor and three Aam Admi Party councillors joined the Saffron Party today, a day before the Supreme Court is scheduled to hear a plea alleging irregularities in the recently held mayoral polls.
Manij Sonkar has submitted his resignation to the Municipal Commissioner, Chandigarh B.J.P. president Jatinder Pal Malhotra, said.
