NEW DELHI, May 17, 2023 (TBINN)
A slight delay is expected in the onset of the South-West Monsoon over Kerala and it is likely to arrive by June 4, 2023, India Meteorological Department (I.M.D.) has said.
Scientists, however, said the delay is unlikely to impact sowing of Kharif and total rainfall over the country.
The South-West Monsoon normally sets in over Kerala on June 1, 2023 with a standard deviation of about seven days.
