Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed gratitude to Uttarakhand’s Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami for sending Kafal, a famous fruit of the hill state, to him.
In a letter to the Chief Minister, P.M. Narendra said that he received the juicy and divine seasonal fruit Kafal. Our nature has given us more than one gift and Uttarakhand is very rich in this matter, where tubers-roots and fruits-flowers with medicinal properties are found in abundance, P.M. said.
Kafal is one such fruit whose medicinal properties are also mentioned in ancient Ayurvedic texts. Prime Minister said that Kafal is ingrained in the culture of Uttarakhand as well. Its mention is also found in various forms in the folk songs here, he shared.
