Bhartiya Janta Party today announced that Maharani Kriti Singh Debbarma, a member of the erstwhile royal family of Tripura, will contest Lok Sabha election from East Tripura (S.T.) Constituency.
Kriti Singh Debbarma is also sister of Pradyot Debbarma, scion of the royal family and founder of Tipra Motha, which joined the B.J.P.-led Government in the Northeastern state earlier this month.
