A geological survey of the site at Jakhan Village in Vikas Nagar Area of Uttarakhand’s capital where massive land-slide happened, revealed that the area is no longer safe for habitation.
It is pertinent to mention here that few days back, a massive land-slide almost flattened the village, leading to at least 10 houses getting damaged and over 150 residents being forced to move to a make-shift shelter at a local school.
As a result of this, a geological team surveyed the area for establish safety of the region and mentioned in its report, submitted to administration, that the said area is not asvisable for living.
