KHARGE UNDERLINES MODI WOULD HAVE KEPT SELLING TEA AND HE HIMSELF WOULD HAVE BEEN LABOURER IN ABSENCE OF CONSTITUTION

While addressing a party workers’ meeting Congress’ president Mallikarjun Kharge exhorted party workers to work hard and throw Bhartiya Janta Party out of power.

Mallikarjun Kharge was speaking at Bannu School Ground where he said that the Congress’ leader Rahul Gandhi is working hard day and night and workers should work in the masses to get positive results in the elections.

Congress’ president Mallikarjun took a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and one man worship being practiced by the B.J.P. and said Modi wants to become the 11th Avatar of Lord Vishnu. Mallikarjun said that Modi has a habit of taking credit for everything and is an expert in telling lies. In an offensive on the guarantees of Narender Modi, Mallikarjun Kharge said that his guarantees can be understood from the fact he had promised to bring all the Black Money deposited in the foreign banks and deposit Rs 15 lakh in the bank account of every citizen. Mallikarjun said that Modi Government promised to double the income of farmers and create two crore new jobs every year but all these promises have proved to be hollow.

President of Congress said that B.J.P. and P.M. Modi have made it a habit of asking about 70 years of Congress Party Rule but everyone knows what Congress had done for the country.

Our governments built Pantnagar University, opened A.I.I.M.S. Hrishikesh and I.I.T. Roorkee in Uttarakhand, besides, setting up companies such as G.A.I.L., S.A.I.L., H.A.L.,N.I.T.s, I.I.M.s and ushered in Green Revolution in the country. What have you done other than selling the P.S.U.s and selling the country, asked Mallikarjun Kharge amid an applause from the crowd.

Mallikarjun further said that the Food Security Act, Right To Information and M.N.R.E.G.A. were brought by Congress and B.J.P. has done nothing for the poor. Congress’ president said that Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi laid down their lives for the unity of country while Jawahar Lal Nehru and Mahatma Gandhi spent years in jail during Freedom Struggle. Mallikarjun underlined that the people who are questioning Congress were seeking jobs from the British and had no role in the Freedom Struggle. Mallikarjun Kharge also noted that Congress protected democracy and the Constitution in country. “Modi ji would have sold tea and I would have worked as a labourer had the Constitution not been there,’’ Congress’ president Mallikarjun Kharge highlighted.
