Javed Khan Amrohi, a noted actor, best known for his performance in popular films such as Andaz Apna Apna (1994) and Lagaan (2001), died at a Mumbai’s hospital due to lung failure.
Ramesh Talwar, film-maker, confirmed Javed’s death to the Press and disclosed that the actor, who worked in the yesteryear popular television show Nukkad, was suffering from a breathing ailment. Javed had been bedridden for one year and was undergoing treatment in Mumbai. He passed away at the hospital as both his lungs failed, he added.
Akhilendra Mishra, an actor, who often worked with Javed also shared the news of the actor’s death.
Javed was in his 70s and is survived by a son and a daughter.
