It was a day of twin achievements on
August 19, 2023 for Institute of Technology and Management, Dehradun, when Advisory Board Meeting of the institute was held on the campus, with Professor H.S. Dhami (former V.C. Kumaon University) as its Head at the instance of College Chairman Nishant Thapliyal. On the occasion, a five-year M.O.U. was penned down among Higher Educational Giant I.T.M. Dehradun, R.I. Instruments and Innovation India of Haldwani, RINZTECH of New Zealand and TSK-Vostok of Kazakhstan towards globally serving the cause of Science and support one another in promoting R & D of novel functional materials for societal cause, instrumentation etc. along with other activities of mutual interest. Besides, parties of M.O.U., including I.T.M. Dehradun, will work closely to generate appropriately trained man-power in the related areas through seminar or symposia, workshops, short-term training courses, R & D activities etc.
Innovative pedagogy and pragmatic approach was carved out in the interest of Higher Education and making students industry worthy. For this, stress was put on imparting practical knowledge and the faculty members to remain up-dated. How the existing world-class infra at I.T.M. Dehradun can be upgraded was also discussed by Advisory Board Members Prof. H.S. Dhami, Prof. D.S. Rawat (Fellow of Royal Society of Chemistry and Senior Professor, Delhi University, V.C. Kumaon University), Dr R.P. Joshi (Founder and C.E.O. of RI Instruments and Innovation India), Dr Arun Sharma (Former Director, Directorate of Forensic Sciences, Himachal Pradesh), Dr Arvind Sinha, FNASc (Chairman Jharkhand Chapter of NASI, Former Chief Scientist and Advisor, National Metallurgical Lab Jamshedpur), Prof. Prem Pal (Head Physics and Professor, I.I.T. Hyderabad), Prof. C.S. Upadhyay (Professor of Aerospace Engineering, I.I.T. Kanpur) and College Chairman Nishant Thapliyal.
Inputs were taken from the faculty members and staff of the college for overall improvement of the institute and how to prepare promising professionals towards making India a Vishwa Guru. This is how I.T.M. Dehradun excels in Higher Education and attains more than 98 per cent strong placements for the past over two decades.
