In a match of Monal Cup Inter-universities Cricket Tournament Institute of Technology and Management, Dehradun, today won its second match played against D.A.V. (P.G.) College, Dehradun, at Ayush Academy in Chidderwala, Dehradun.
Team A of I.T.M. Dehradun, today won the toss and elected to bat. Team A of I.T.M. Dehradun made 192 runs at loss of 3 wickets in 20 overs. Shubham Chauhan made 85 runs and Kartik Bhatt scored 36 runs, whereas, Ankit Negi remained not out at 35 runs for I.T.M. Dehradun.
On the bowling front, Govind Panwar of D.A.V. (P.G.) College, Dehradun, took 2 wickets giving away 39 runs in 4 overs. His team-mate Harshwardhan Singh gave away 23 runs in 4 overs.
The team of D.A.V. (P.G.) College, Dehradun, while chasing the score of I.T.M. Dehradun, got all out at a total of 124 runs in 17.3 overs. Priyanshu Barswal made 58 runs and Govind Panwar made 50 runs for D.A.V L. (P.G.) College, Dehradun. While bowling for I.T.M. Dehradun, Manish Kumar took 4 wickets giving away 20 runs in 3 overs. Rhythm Saxena took 2 wickets in 4 overs at cost of 35 runs. Md Ayaan took 4 wickets in 3.3 overs giving away just 5 runs.
Thus, I.T.M. Dehradun won the match by a difference of 68 runs. Shubham Chauhan of I.T.M. Dehradun was adjudged Man of the Match.
Chairman of I.T.M. Dehradun, Nishant Thapliyal, alongwith college Coach Md Shehzad, Sports officials C.B. Bacheti and Mamta Negi joined the college staff for congratulating Team A of I.T.M. Dehradun on its victory.
