Today in a Cricket Match of Monal Cup, played at Ayush Academy, Dehradun, Team B of Institute of Technology and Management, Dehradun, defeated H.I.T., Dehradun.
Toss was won by H.I.T. Dehradun which elected to bat first. While batting H.I.T. Dehradun was able to make 124 runs at loss of 9 wickets in stipulated 20 overs. For H.I.T. Dehradun, Altaf scored 47 runs, Vivek Solanki made 23 runs and Divyanshu contributed 14 runs. While bowling for I.T.M. Dehradun’s Team B, Prince Chaudhary took 3 wickets in 4 overs giving away 31 runs, Utkarsh also took 3 wickets giving away 22 runs and Rahul Verma took 2 wickets in 3 overs at a cost of 8 runs.
While chasing the total of H.I.T., Dehradun, Team B of I.T.M. Dehradun surpassed the target in 11.2 overs by scoring 127 runs. For I.T.M. Dehradun, Rahul remained 37 not out, Varnit Kumar also remained not out on 23 runs while Prashant Bhatt made 29 runs. Bowler of H.I.T. Dehradun, Nitin Saini took 1 wicket in 1 over giving away 13 runs, Rahul Panwar of H.I.T. Dehradun, took 1 wicket in 2 overs at a cost of 34 runs.
Thus, I.T.M. Dehradun won the match by 8 wickets with its player Rahul Verma declared as Man of the Match.
