Dehradun”s Nehru Colony Police recovered Rs 1. 70 crore from the house of an accountant of a private company in Uttarakhand.
No satisfactory answer was clearly given about the cash by the accountant. Nor any documents regarding the same xould be produces by him. Subsequently, Police seized the cash and informed the Income Tax Department for further action.
Police said it received information about cash being kept in a house at Friends Enclave. It is doubted that accountant does betting in I.P.L. Cash Counting Machine was used to count the huge sum.
Reportedly,, the accountant’s father is also in the same profession.The family originally belongs to Muzaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh and lives in Dehradun on rent.
There happened to be a difference in versions regarding the cash. Father said that he sold a house in Uttar Pradesh and the money belonged to him. However, he could not produce any document for the same. Whereas, the son said that the money belongs to the company in which he works.
The fact will cone to the fore after investigations by Police and Income Tax Department.
