Building temple and masjid is not religion, true religion is planting plants, this humane and noble thought was shared by Nishant Thapliyal, Chairman of Institute of Technology and Management, Dehradun, on the occasion of celebrating 10th day of Dhad Harela. Notably, the program on this day was organized at I.T.M. Dehradun today.
Further speaking on the occasion Chairman of I.T.M. Dehradun, Nishant Thapliyal said that research till date, carried world over, maintains that life is only possible on Planet Earth. In this context, according to Nishant Thapliyal, importance of Harela and trees has to be understood well. Making temple and masjid is not real worship, but to preserve environment and plant trees, Nishant Thapliyal added.
The program on Harela formally started with a message-giving slogans highlighting that our country should be greener. Moving the program further, Dayanand Dobhal introduced the organization Dhad and it’s work being carries for the past more than three decades.
Dhad, in association with I.T.M. Dehradun, in service of Higher Education and Social Causes for past more than 20 years, celebrated Harela which started on Hariyali Sankrant ends after a month on Ghee Sankrant. It is with the efforts of establishments like I.T.M. Dehradun and Dhad that Government of Uttarakhand declared it a state festival.
Neenah Rawat from Dhad underlined that our ancestors also gave importance to environment even in absence of advanced technology. Journalist Gunanand Jakhmola expressed fear that in blind race of development, nature may not lag behind.
Thousands of roads have built from villages to cities, but still there is a wait for a road which comes from city to village.
On the occasion, Chairman and Principal of I.T.M. Dehradun Nishant Thapliyal and Dr Anju Gairola were present alongwith Registrar Ruchi, Dean Ravi Bahuguna and faculty members. Ganesh Uniyal, Asha Dobhal, Saket Rawat, Shubham and Archana were also present.
