Death of a Haldwani’s businessman in District Haldwani shocked all when his body was found inside a car with snake bite marks in Uttarakhand’s Haldwani.
At least five accused have been booked in connection with this case.
Reportedly, a businessman, identified as Ankit Chauhan was found dead under suspicious condition after he was killed using a cobra. In the case a snake charmer has been arrested and police also suspected involvement of deceased’s girlfriend in his murder. Further it has been revealed by the police that Ankit Chauhan’s girlfriend, Mahi Arya, hired the snake charmer to get her partner killed with the help of her friends.
Apart from Arya, the officials are also looking for one of her friends and two domestic helpers that were allegedly involved in the conspiracies.
Earlier, a 30-year-old man was found dead inside his car, with the ignition on, parked at the side of road near Teenpani Area, Senior Superintendent of Police, Nainital Pankaj Bhatt told the Press. Police scanned Amkit Chauhan’s call details and found that he was in touch with her girlfriend, who was in contact with a snake charmer from Uttar Pradesh.
During the interrogation, snake charmer disclosed that the woman, her friend Deep Kanpal and her two helps hatched the conspiracy to kill Ankit Chauhan, by unleashing a Cobra on him, senior officer added.
Snake charmer also told police that the deceased used to abuse the woman in an inebriated condition which is why she took the extreme step and wanted to kill the man.Businessman’s sister also named his brother’s girlfriend Arya as a suspect in the case and filed a complaint against her. Based on the complaint, a First Information Report has been registered against five accused under Section 302 (Murder) of the Indian Penal Code at Haldwani Police Station.
