JAIPUR, Jan. 29, 2024 (TBINN)
Muslim girl students of a Government senior secondary school in Rajasthan’s capital staged a protest outside Subhash Chowk Police Station demanding action against Bhartiya Janta Party M.L.A. Balmukund Acharya for objecting to the girls wearing hijab during a school event.
Several school girls jammed the road outside Subhash Chowk Police Station and raised slogans against the B.J.P. legislator. They demanded an apology from the legislator and an F.I R. against him.
“The M.L.A. had come to our school to attend the annual function. We welcomed him. We were told that hijab is not allowed. He asked how the girls can breathe while wearing hijabs. He should apologise,” the protesting girls told reporters.
