Besides damaging houses and loss of cattle the rains and lightning strikes in Gujarat killed 24 people in the state.
Reportedly, at least 40 animals were also killed across the state by rains and lightning strikes which also left 23 human beings injured.
Serious rain-related brunt of nature has been witnessed in the western Indian state of Gujarat over the past two days, government officials said with rains continuing today as well.
Notably, Gujarat was hit by heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and hailstorms yesterday and today, with some places receiving up to 144 M.M. (5.7 Inches) of rain in the past 24 hours, according to state government.
