Farmers under the banner of Samyukta Kisan Morcha (Non-Political) and Kisan Mazdoor Morcha today squatted on a rail track in Patiala District near Punjab and Haryana Border, demanding release of three farmers who had been arrested by Haryana Police.
Many trains were diverted because of the farmers’ blockade at Shambhu Railway Station, Railway authorities said.
Leader of K.M.M. Sarwan Singh Pandher said Haryana Administration had given them an assurance that the arrested farmers would be released by April 16, 2024.
