Aloke B. Lal, former Uttarakhand’s director-general of police has said that the rush to demolish resort, in question, in the Ankita Bhandari’s murder-case may have destroyed crucial evidence.
It is to be reminded bere that a part of the resort at Bhogpur in Pauri District was razed overnight and there have been allegations that evidence in the murder-case was destroyed.
Lal is of the opinion and says that it seems to me proper procedure of demolition of the so-called illegal resort was not followed in this case. Usually, a show-cause notice is issued before any such exercise is undertaken.
Notably, reports say that now District Administration is also examining that at who’s order demolition of Vanantra Resort was undertaken where Ankita Bhandari worked and stayed. The exercise of demolition, now many say may have destroyed vital clues and evidence. Moreover, it comes as a natural question to The Bharat India also that as to what prompted any authority or agency to go in for such demolition activity at such a pre-mature stage of the murder-case and precisely demolished the room in which Ankita Bhandari lived.
Indeed, it is a question to be answered by the authorities and clear the intent behind partial demolition of Vanantra Resort.
