Superintendent of Police, Dehradun, Ajai Singh has disclosed that the dacoity in Reliance Jewels Showroom at Uttarakhand’s capital Dehradun seens to have been committed by a gang belonging to Bihar.
Notably, undaunted dacoits yesterday, on State Day of Uttarakhand, committed a daring daylight dacoity, supposed to be the biggest heist of its kind in the history of Uttarakhand.
Dacoits marred the State Day early yesterday in spite of President of India Droupadi Murmu’s presence in Uttarakhand on the day. Five armed dacoits made easy escape with looted Gold and diamond jewellery worth about Rs 10 crore at gun-point from the showroom of Reliance Jewels in the posh Rajpur Road area of Dehradun.
Police reached the spot after a hour or so and were left with a severe challenge to track down the dacoits and boots.
