Four officials of the bank have been suspended
KANPUR, Sep. 19, 2022 (TBINN)
Reportedly, in the Pandu Nagar branch of Punjab National Bank of Kanpur, currency notes worth Rs 42 lakh were soiled by water that seeped inside the currency chest. This happens to be a sheer case of negligence and being undutiful.
Whole matter came to light when the Reserve Bank of India’s (R.B.I.) team inspected the currency chest of the bank. Serious allegations were made that without proper investigation, action was taken against junior officials earlier.
Nidhi Pathak, Head of the currency Chest Department said we have suspended four people and final action will be taken after the enquiry gets completed.’
