COMMITTEE’s FIRST MEETING ON ONE NATION, ONE ELECTION TO BE HELD ON 23rd OF THIS MONTH

The first meeting of high-level committee to examine and make recommendations for holding simultaneous polls will be held on September 23, 2023, former president of India Ram Nath Kovind, who heads it, said.
The government on September 2, 2023 notified eight-member committee to examine and make recommendations for holding simultaneous elections to Lok Sabha, state assemblies, municipalities and panchayats.
The first meeting will take place on September 23, 2023, Kovind told reporters today in Bhubaneswar where he was to attend the convocation of a private university.
