CASE UNDER UNLAWFUL ACTIVITIES (PREVENTION) ACT REGISTERED FOR PARLIAMENT’s SECURITY BREACH

NEW DELHI, Dec 14, 2023 (TBINN)

Delhi Police has registered a case under the stringent Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act in connection with the Parliament’s security breach, officials said today.

Notably, in a major security breach on the anniversary of 2001 Parliament Terror Attack on Wednesday, yesterday, two persons — Sagar Sharma and Manoranjan D — jumped into the Lok Sabha chamber from the public gallery during Zero Hour, released Yellow Gas from canisters and shouted slogans before being overpowered by some M.P.s.

Around the same time, two other accused — Amol Shinde and Neelam Devi — sprayed coloured gas from canisters while shouting “Tanashahi Nahi Chalegi” outside Parliament premises.

Besides registering case against the nabbed, much more behind the scene needs to be probed that what prompted protesters to behave in such a manner and for what reason!
