Today two members of a family from Gorakhpur District in Uttar Pradesh were killed and five others injured when their car fell into a gorge on the Nainital-Kaladhungi Road in Uttarakhand, officials said.
Incident happened around midnight near Priya Bend.
On getting information from police, State Disaster Response Force Team reached the spot for carrying out relief and rescue operation. Police said brothers Rahul Srivastava, aged 27 years and Rajeev Srivastava, 25 years of age, died on the spot. Their parents Premchand Srivastava, aged 52 years and Aruna Srivastava, aged 50, Rahul’s wife Shalu of 25 years and their two-and-a-half-year-old daughter Mishti, and a close relative named Akash Srivastava, aged 22, were injured, the police added.
All thw iccupants of the ill-fated car have been pulled out of the ditch and taken to a hospital, police informed.
