BUTTER HOLI CELEBRATED AFTER TWO YEARS

Following two years of muted celebrations, Uttarkashi residents celebrated Butter Holi, locally known as Anduri Utsav, in the lush green meadows of Dayara Bugyal, at an altitude of around 11,000 feet, with much enthusiasm on Wednesday. Vllagers and tourists danced to folk tunes and played holi with milk, butter and butter-milk during the celebrations held to mark the festival.
