CHANDIGARH, Aug. 27, 2023 (TBINN)
Haryana Government has increased security in the communally sensitive Nuh District in the wake of Shobha Yaatra called by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad tomorrow. Hindu outfit, according to reports, has decided to go-ahead with the scheduled possession despite Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar making a public statement that no permission has been granted for the rally.
The decision was taken considering the situation on the ground, he added.
“Looking at the kind of incident that happened there (Nuh) at the beginning of the month, it is the government’s duty to ensure that law and order in the area is maintained. Our Police and administration have taken this decision that instead of carrying out a yaatra (Braj Mandal Shobha Yatra), people should go to nearby temples and offer prayers. Permission for yatra is denied but people can go and offer prayers in temples as it is Sawan month, Chief Minister said.
“We have denied permission for the yaatra. We have appealed to the pilgrims to instead go to temples in the vicinity and offer prayers, Manohar Lal Khattar.
