Punjab’s Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann today challenged Bhartiya Janta Party, Congress and Shiromani Akali Dal for an open debate on issues pertaining to the state amid Opposition parties’ criticism over the issue of Sutlej Yamuna Link (S.Y.L.) Canal.
Punjab’s Opposition parties have attacked Aam Aadmi Party Government in Punjab following Supreme Court’s directive on October 4, 2023, asking Centre to survey the portion of land in Punjab that was allocated for construction of part of the canal and make an estimate of the extent of construction carried out there.
Mann dared Punjab B.J.P. chief Sunil Jakhar, Punjab Congress’ chief Amrinder Singh Raja Warring and the leader of Opposition in Punjab Assembly, Partap Singh Bajwa, and S.A.D. chief Sukhbir Singh Badal for a debate.
